Mrs Burke entered our P.7 pupils into the Burrendale Hotels 'Build a Scarecrow' competition for Halloween. The P.7s under the guidance of Mrs. Burke designed and built a great scarecrow. Friday morning was a hive of activity in the P.7 classroom as they completed the finishing touches to their scarecrow in time for the entry deadline. Our P.7's delivered their entry to the Burrendale and were very pleasantly surprised when the staff of the Burrendale rewarded their efforts with Hot chocolate, sweets and shortbread. The staff were also treated to tea and shortbread. A special thanks to the Burrendale Hotel for running this competition and for the excellent hospitality our pupils and staff received on Friday.
