Graduation Day!

26th Jun 2023

What a Graduation Day!

The 2023 Graduation Day was amazing from start to finish. There was a excellent attendance of Parents and family members. The morning started with Mr Hunt, Mrs Dunniece and Mrs Burke addressing the Parents. This was followed by a mini concert where the pupils of St.Patrick's displayed their many and varied talents for the large audience to enjoy. The entertainment on the day was unbelieveable. Reagan started the Graduation entertainment with his excellent Poem, this was followed by singing, Irish Dancing,  poetry and an amazing String duet! Mr Hunt made two presentations one to Aoife who received her County Championship medal and her sports medals, and one to Ryan who was presented the 'Paddy Campbell Cup'. Our P.7 pupils who were absolutely brilliant as always, then left to get gowned up for their presentations. On their return they sang their Leavers song and decided to distribute their mortarboards among all present. This was then repeated a few times until some of them actually caught their mortarboards! Earlier in the term Mr Hunt had presented each child in P.7 a football for leaving. These footballs must have been put to good use by the girls as the extra practise at home definately paid off this year! On Friday Mr Hunt also presented the pupils with a St. Patrick's P.S. Burrenreagh goodie bag, which included a 2023 St. Patrick's P.S. Burrenreagh Leavers Mug and sweets. As the pupils were called up Mr. Hunt spoke brillaintly about each individual child and his fondest memories of them during their time in St. Patrick's. This personal tribute for each individual child is unque to smaller schools. The presentation was followed by a photo shoot in front of the amazing Balloon display supplied by 'Ellies Pretty Little Bows'. The morning ended with the parents enjoying a cup of tea/coffee and some light refreshments. Thanks to Mrs McCallion for the beautiful cup cakes.

A special thanks to all the staff in St.Patrick's P.S. Burrenreagh who worked so had in the preparations for this brilliant Leavers Day celebration.
