Leaf Rubbing in the Autumn Sunshine
26th Sep 2025
Our nature walks continued this week in the beautiful autumnal sunshine, as pupils explored the wide variety of leaf shapes, sizes, and textures. They carefully examined the unique features of each leaf, sparking curiosity and conversation about the changing seasons.
After collecting a colourful selection of leaves, we returned to the classroom to create our own works of art using the timeless technique of leaf rubbing. Pupils focused on using warm autumn colours to bring out the intricate patterns and veins of each leaf, resulting in a vibrant and seasonal display of creativity.
