The Primary 3/4/5 class had a fantastic time learning all about pirates this term! Pupils learned about famous pirates and explored the countries where they lived. They created impressive PowerPoint presentations, wrote letters to Captain Blackbeard requesting to join his crew, crafted imaginative pirate?themed stories, and designed their own treasure maps and coins. The class also made colourful pirate food plates, composed lively sea shanty songs, and carried out a science investigation to find out whether objects float better in salt water or clear water. A special highlight was when Karla?May brought in her guitar and performed a brilliant pirate song for the class. To round off the topic, the pupils even built their very own pirate ships—an exciting and creative end to their learning journey!
