Red and Black day in St Patrick's to celebrate the Down Ladies winning Ulster!

14th Jun 2023

Down Senior Ladies won the Ulster Intermediate Championship against Fermanagh in Pairc Esler two weeks ago. Today to celebrate this great achievement we had a Red and Black day. The red and Black flags and bunting were put up early this morning by Keren and Janet. The pupils and staff of St. Patrick's were really pleased to welcome and congratulate the Bryansford club members of the successful Down team Natasha Ferris, Natalie McKibben,Sarah Dougherty and Aimee O'Higgins. The ladies were met at the gates of the school with highly excited pupils all wishing to see their heros and get a look at the Ulster cup. After a parade round the school the Ladies settled in to a very intensive question and answer session with the pupils. This was followed by a photo shoot and Autograph session. The ladies then agreed to take ten minutes to talk to our girls team in preparation for our County Final on Saturday. On behalf of our pupils and staff we would just like to thank most sincerely  Natasha, Natalie, Sarah and Aimee for taking the time to visit us and for making today so special and memorable for all.You are all great ambassadors for our gaelic games and for your club and County. Thank you and Good Luck in the All-Ireland series from everyone at St. Patrick's Burrenreagh.
